Stephanie Kerry Associate
Patent Attorney, CPA, EPA
Stephanie is a European and Chartered UK Patent Attorney with particular expertise in the life sciences field. Stephanie studied at Newcastle University, gaining a B.Sc. in Cellular and Molecular Biology and an M.Res. and Ph.D in Neuromuscular Diseases. During her Ph.D studies, Stephanie spent three years carrying out research at the Institute of Genetic Medicine (Newcastle University), studying the cardiac phenotype of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. During this period, Stephanie worked in collaboration with other European Research Institutes, including a period spent carrying out research at the University of Würzburg in Germany. Throughout her Ph.D. studies, Stephanie also worked alongside colleagues in the pharmaceutical industry, testing developing therapeutic compounds. Stephanie was awarded her Ph.D in December 2018.
Education:
Stephanie has a B.Sc. in Cellular and Molecular Biology, a Masters of Research in Medical Genetics, and a Ph.D in Medical Genetics, all of which were awarded by Newcastle University. In 2021 Stephanie obtained the Patent Examination Board (PEB) Foundation Certificate. Stephanie qualified as a European Patent Attorney and as a UK Patent Attorney in 2024.
